Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before the project starts.

Read the common answers below. If your situation is different, message Frontier Fabrication Studio directly with the product, idea, order number, or screenshot.

Products and gifts

Choosing the right starting point.

Use ready-to-order listings when the existing options fit. Use the custom gift catalog or Custom Work when they do not.

Do you make personalized products?

Yes. Eligible ready-to-order products show their available options on the product page. The custom gift catalog presents additional quote-based possibilities, and Custom Work covers requests outside listed options.

What is the Custom Gift Catalog?

It is a visual catalog of 55 MakerFlo-based blanks selected around FFS equipment and material capabilities. Six items have ready-to-order listings. The other 49 remain quote-only while color, supplier availability, physical fit, design, and pricing are confirmed.

Can I request a one-off custom project?

Yes. Start from the closest Custom Work service or message the idea directly. FFS reviews feasibility, materials, production method, timing, and scope before accepting the project.

Do I need finished artwork?

No. A sketch, reference image, logo, marketplace link, screenshot, written idea, or existing file can be enough to begin. Design work is quoted when additional creative development is needed.

Can I send my own artwork?

Yes. Artwork is reviewed for file quality, dimensions, material, placement, and production suitability. Adjustments or design preparation may be required before approval.

How long does production take?

Custom and made-to-order items may take up to 7 business days to fulfill when required blanks and materials are available. Restocking, Alaska inbound freight, design complexity, quantity, or approved partner production can extend the timeline. Carrier transit begins after fulfillment.

Why might an item be unavailable?

FFS may limit availability to protect responsible production capacity or while required blanks and materials are being restocked or shipped to Alaska.

Can I request an availability notification?

Yes. Submit the exact product name or link through the Availability Notifications page. A request does not reserve inventory, guarantee a future date, or create an order.

Where is Frontier Fabrication Studio based?

FFS is based in Alaska. That perspective influences material planning, inbound freight expectations, production timing, and the studio’s practical approach.

Is every product made entirely in-house?

Laser engraving and 3D printing are performed in-house for approved work. Some apparel and other categories use disclosed production partners. FFS does not represent partner-produced work as in-house manufacturing.

How should I contact FFS?

Facebook Messenger is the preferred and fastest starting point because it supports screenshots, links, and quick context. The website contact form remains available as a backup.

What if there is a concern with completed work?

Message the order or project details and useful photos. FFS reviews the concern under the Customer Guarantee and determines a reasonable correction, improvement, remake, or other appropriate resolution based on the work and materials.

How custom orders work

Approve the project first. Pay securely through Shopify.

Custom designs are not purchased through standard checkout. Message Frontier Fabrication Studio directly on Facebook to discuss your project. Once the scope and price are approved, we will send a secure custom invoice through Shopify for payment.

Still have a question?

Send it directly on Facebook Messenger. Include the product link, order number, screenshot, or project details when useful.
