Frontier Design Studio / Creative process
From a shared signal to a release-ready direction.
The FDS creative process gives requests and participation a useful place while preserving the studio judgment required to make coherent, original work.
Six creative stages
A visible journey with a clear decision boundary.
- 01
Request
A subject, story, style, use, or creative challenge enters the studio conversation.
- 02
Explore
Possible visual directions, references, rights, constraints, and creative fit are considered.
- 03
Signal
Eligible requests, polls, and feedback help show where genuine interest exists.
- 04
Select
The studio chooses which direction can responsibly move forward.
- 05
Develop
Artwork, variants, collection relationships, proofs, and production considerations take shape.
- 06
Release
Approved work returns through the gallery, a collection story, or an FFS product adaptation.
Two connected processes
Creative development ends where production begins.
Idea → Design → Proof → Fabrication → Finish.
